Policy Council is the formal body of governance through which parents, community representatives, and the Celina City School Board of Education guide policy making and shared program decisions aimed at enhancing the holistic values of the Mercer County Head Start philosophy with the current needs of the community.
Policy Council Representatives are elected at the beginning of each school year and attend regularly scheduled meetings. Policy Council is composed of parents from each Head Start classroom and program option, past parents, and community representatives. They provide input into the program’s operations.
